WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER A RIVER CRUISE

River cruises are on the rise, with plenty of river cruises already available and plenty more popping up worldwide. This is a wave you don't want to miss. If you haven't already been on a river cruise or weren't planning on taking one, we're going to attempt to change your mind. Here are five reasons why you absolutely need to include a river cruise in your future travel plans:

1. Discover the hidden gems the world has to offer

River cruise boats are much smaller than the ocean liners, which are most commonly associated with the word cruise. The smaller boats allow you to access more intimate corners of the world. Narrow ports and shallow waterways don't stop you from exploring parts of the world that you usually wouldn't be able to get to by cruise.

2. A unique experience

Cruising historic rivers in France, the picturesque valleys of the Douro in Portugal, or exploring ancient crocodile temples in Egypt are all special to river cruising. You can have many unique experiences on a river cruise, and that's why we travel. We get to experience culture and history in an authentic and utterly unique fashion.

3. Scenic sailing you can’t experience anywhere else

You can cruise right through the heart of Moscow by embarking on a cruise of the Volga river, or you could choose to cruise the Mekong River and cruise through six countries in Asia and stay close to its breathtaking natural scenery. The Douro, the Danube, the Nile, and the Yangtze are some of the world's most beautiful rivers you could cruise. That being said, there are so many more that it's almost too hard to pick which river you should visit first.

4. It’s just as luxurious

A river cruise can be just as elegant as an ocean cruise. A smaller vessel means fewer travelers, leading to a vacation experience where the staff can focus better on each guest. Many luxury river cruises make it their mission to ensure that your time spent on board their vessel is enjoyed to the fullest. There are also plenty of all-inclusive river cruises that ensure you're traveling without the stress of having to plan every little detail of the trip continually.

5. There’s a cruise for everyone

Whether you want to experience the local culture or sail through some of the world's most beautiful spots, there's a river cruise that will cater to all your traveling dreams. With so many options, there's no reason not to go on a river cruise. You could travel on your own and use it as a time to relax and explore a new place, or you could make it a family vacation and share the experience with your loved ones.

There are short cruises that last a couple of days to longer cruises that can take a week or two. Some cruises make multiple stops along the way so that you can get off and take a look at the land as well. Picking the perfect river cruise is just a matter of knowing what you want. Once you know what you want and where you want to go, you let us know, and we’ll get you cruising.
